And if there’s something I love more than Oreos, it would be Oreos used in cakes! I’ve made quite a few cake recipes with Oreos, for example cupcakes, milkshakes and of course also cheesecakes.
But here I used Oreos in a new way; in a chocolate pie.
This is a cake that I deeply truly love! For some reason I just haven’t really tried baking it yet (well that’s a lie – I made them once in a licorice version, but I’ve never made the original Sarah Bernhardt). I have no idea why I haven’t baked them before now, because they’re SO delicious! And they aren’t that hard to bake at all.
These Sarah Bernhardt cakes are made with loads of delicious marzipan, dark and intense chocolate, cream and a little bit of coffee. If you don’t like coffee in your cakes, then don’t worry! There’s absolutely no problem in leaving out the coffee.
There’s this very special pie that I’ve been wanting to bake for many many years now. Why I haven’t baked it until now is a mystery. I’ve actually even shopped for the ingredients several times, but I always ended up using them for something else before I came to baking the pie.
It’s cupcake time, yaaay!! Some would even call it their favorite time (myself included)! It’s been quite a while since a last posted a cupcake post here on the blog, so I thought it was about time.
I’ve baked these chocolate cupcakes with salted caramel filling before, and since they were sooo extremely good I immidiately knew I wanted to bake them again when I had guests coming over this weekend. These cupcakes consist of a delicious chocolate muffin filled with salted caramel and topped with an intens dark chocolate frosting. This frosting is a new version I hadn’t tried before, but it turned out pretty well I must say, and therefore I decided to share the recipe with you.
And oh, it’s about time I include you guys in a little secret I’ve been keeping for quite a few months now… Continue reading →
I am not hesitating to call this cake my best and tastiest creation so far this year. I know those are some pretty big words, but I’m really not exaggerating. This cake is really something. In the most chocotastic, intense and rich way possible.
And the best thing about the cake? It is SO easy to bake. It doesn’t need all kinds of weird ingredients. It will surely be loved by ANYONE that tastes it. It gets better and better by each day that it’s allowed to sit in the fridge (but really, who can restrain themselves from eating all of the cake on the first day?). Continue reading →
